still smokin sometimes!

i dont know why, but when i really get on it, my car smokes. lots of white smoke through the exhaust, not perfect white, but def a light color. i just got the car in september, and havent really ragged on it at all because when i do it smokes bad. i know the previous owner did the mmo treatment about a month before i got it, maybe its got some residue in the presilencers or something still(rb street port exhaust). it doesnt smoke at all under normal driving, it runs just about perfect except for the smoking. any ideas?

That used to br Mr Rose's car right? Doesn't that thing have about 175k on it? The corner seals may be getting weak. My car smoked like that, and it only had 120k when it started doing it.

Does it smoke mainly when you let off the throttle at high revs? If it does it's the oil control o-rings. It's a fairly common problem for rotary's with a bit of mileage. Probably nothing to worry about yet but it will keep getting worse and you'll find yourself topping up the oil constantly. Another posibility is that you could be getting coolant in the combustion chamber. What does the smoke smell like? Are you loosing any coolant?

yeah it was mr roses car, and yeah 175k miles on it. never smelled it, and yeah it only does it when i let off the throttle. im not losing any coolant at all, and the oil isnt really all that bad. i'll double check all that before i go of to work though.
thanks

Yep, it's the the o-rings. Just drive it till it uses more oil than fuel than pull the motor out for a rebuild and some porting. Can you say bridge-port.
