still overheating

i just got back from vacation again. so i went out to tinker with the today run her up and everything sense i was gone for 27 days in cali i started her up and lots of white smoke but it did go away, i think it was from sittin so long. but anyways i warmed her up and the temo kept going up. i changed the radiator, rad cap,
t-stat, belts hoses, all about 3 months ago, and i also bypassed the heater core for the inside heating. while she was running i noticed the the radiator was still cold like as if the t-stat was not opening. it took about a good 15+ minutes to heat up so im guessing that i dont have a leak in the block , but once she did the temp started to go up past the half way point so i shut her down and took a nap. the t-stat is new but it doesnt seem like its opening to cool down at operating temps at all. its a oem t-stat i got it from mazdatrix.com. what can i do to remedy this problem. help me out guys pls i really wanna drive her again but im scared she'll over heat!

Was the fan running? it should kick on automatically when the heat gets high enough.

Thermostats are cheap, change it again just for giggles, if thats not the issue you now have a spare.

If that isn't the problem start thinking water pump........
