I still have the problem with my car not wanting to crank.. so i think it is actually in the switch this time but i would like to know what the voltage is supposed to be at the spade terminal on the starter.. because before i was only getting 8v and that doesnt sound right to me.. so if anyone knows it would be very appreciated.

possibly a failing starter, sir.. might wanna check that

 

the starter is brand new... and it works with my jimmy rigged switch...

 

change the key switch

 

Sounds like excessive contact resistance on the start contacts. Sounds like time for an ignition switch.
