still got some roll
still got some roll
this was my 3rd autox with my sway bars (suspension techs). i already has tokico blues and eibach springs. there seems to be a bit of body roll still. nothing like it was though. i dont expect it to make it perfectly flat, but i just wanted to post to give yall an idea.
im planning to go with GC coilovers with camber/caster plates. 350# in the front, 175# in the rear and getting some extra rims and slapping some r-compounds on them.
what do yall think?

I think you should save your money for a while and learn how that suspension works out for you. Sure adding an adjustable coilover kit with stiffer springs will probably lessen the roll, but your car does not seem to have excessive roll. I like to read about everybody who is so concerned about body roll. Once you get rid of all that body roll, your suspension can't do what it was designed to do.... absorb bumps.
It has been my experience that Autocross is a sport with violent transitions left to right and then braking and acceleration. My point being is that autocross will allow your car to roll more, but on the track or street you hardly get the same effect.
Unless this is a trailered car and is dedicated to autocross, I would not recommend those particular spring rates. My personal tastes would be to have the ground-control kit, illuminas, 275/125 spring rates and a racing Beat 1-1/8" front sway bar and possibly the stock rear sway bar or none at all.
I currently have the stock front anti-swaybar and Tokico HP's with a pro-kit. I actually like the ride and the performance. I might just need the front anti-swaybar and I'm set.
My suggestion from racer to racer is to stop thinking about what your car looks like in a photo and start thinking about how the car feels to you and what your times say.

i think you got me all wrong. ive been racing this setup for almost 2 seasons now, and i just added the sway bars. im not dumb enough to judge the performance of my car from a picture, i was just saying "look at the body roll". the sway bars just didnt do it for me. they helped alot, but i still want more. i think some race tires will help as i run my street tires in csp.
