stereo wiring and some other crap

so my pimp a$s stock Clarion doesnt work or atleast doesnt act like it works. the lights come on when i turn my headlights on but no sound. i do know somone messed and hacked up some wires but i dont know if it was just for some subs or what. does anyone know of a schematic or nething for that radio and speakers. i know they come with amps in the back storage compartment(gsl-se no back seats). i did search by the way and didnt find what i needed. i also put a tape in and it didnt react so i am assuming its just dead. Also has anyone made a center control cover or w/e they call it for the stereo and climate controls mines cracked really good. and who has changed their seats i was thinking about new seats.. dont wanna rice it out but dont wanna keep the $hit brown interior color either.. thx

You can get the original stock stereo surround through MazdaTrix but it is not cheap. Otherwise you will find them in Ebay once in awhile. As far as the wiring problem, a good repair manual will usually give you a schematic for the electrical system, or you can start following the wires and do process of elimination.

I have the Haynes manual and it has everything you need to know, but sometimes you'll need explainging on some stuff. I just got a surround for 8 bux at a pick and pull, sanded painted and its perfect.
