Stereo Wiring HELP... 1980

are those the correct diagrams of the stereo wiring for the 1980 with the 2 shaft radio?

all i need is power, lights and ignition.... the rest is cake.

It says 83-92, so I would guess not.

ever use a test light? thats all you need to figure it out yourself.

Cool link though. Curious...I wonder if I could I buy a newer mazda radio for cheap and simply plug n' play it into my '83?

thing is, it looks to be similar... allthough i'm not finding any voltages on the pins....

if someone could tell me on which wires i should be looking, i could at least troubleshoot.

if not, i'll go out tomorrow and start from scratch, but i really dont wanna waste all that time.

They should be simular, since ur not getting any voltage, did u check the fuse? If all else fails, u can get a switched source of power from the fuse box, u could also use the same for the light in the radio. Attach ground wire to any screw or bolt in the chassis. Good luck.
