save yourself the headaches and run new wires. plus the old wires arn't that great at all. pull power from the batt and you can use the memory from the fuse block.
if you want to still use the stock wires, try an old trick, find what you think is the old speaker wires, with a speaker on the other end, use a 1.5volt battery, a listen for a "pop" sound, it will move the coil out on the speaker, don't leave it on or you can burn the coil out, just tap it a few times. you can also tell polarity by seeing which way the cone moves

Might be a little difficult if you had the cool guy stereo with the joystick in the center. They have some 50 Watt amps (25x2) hidden behind the storage boxes. Good thing they have line inputs, so you can plug preamp outs into em. Only problem is I dunno where to get diagrams of the amp connectors. They have a round type of connecter with pins and such.
Power wires can be found rather easily. Just use a multi meter or test light. There are several power wires. One is constantly on, even with the key out. Thats memory backup. One's only on when the key is in the ACC position. Thats main radio power. And One's on only when the headlights are on. Use that if you have an illumination or dimmer connection on the aftermarket stereo.
I did end up finding doubles of some of the power wires, so check em all.
Speaker wires are what you have left over after you find all the power wires. Use the battery as stated above.

If I were you I would re-wire everything with good stuff, it will sound a lot nicer. Isn't it worth getting the most out of the new equipment you bought? You're gonna have to do it anyways if you want to add amps and stuff.
I've had quite a few different decks, amps and speakers in my car, I've rewired a number of times. It's actually really easy once you get used to taking **** apart.
