I know the SE's is different because it has the variable speed-based assist, but I thought the FB and SA's were essentially the same.

the SA box should work, although it is different.

the manual boxes are the same from 78-81.5 (maybe early 82?) and 81.5-85

the 84-85 power boxes were all the same.

ok then becuase its not going to be used for power steering just manuel so i guess it elimnates the assist thingy. Hmm i wonder if the box can fit. I know you cant remove it or unless you want to screw with the gearing. I used to know a trick in order to get it back to normal if you screwed with the gears but i forgot the formula. I also heard something about the ignition lock not being in the same place?? something that u have to cut the column out a littl to make a fit or is it that putting a se steering box set into an sa?
