Can I get them anywhere cheaper than MAZDATRIX? $500 seems a little expensive. How 'bout a rebuild kit?

Try find a good used on with less than 100K. Should still be pretty tight and you can always snug them up a bit. I found one wit zero play and only gave $25 bucks for it, but normally they would cost you close to $100 for a good one.

I got one with 70K on it with 0 freeplay for $105 incl. tax (no ship'g) from Burlington Auto Parts, Shirley, MA. As of 6 months ago, they had plenty more. I found them, and more through www.car-part.com.
