It starts ,it runs ,it sounds like crap and shakes like a wet dog. But it is the first time in 17 years to be mesed with, fule filter was crappy. but some work on the points and electrical tidying up and a new battery did the trick. Think I will put an 85 dizzy in it and get rid of points..

 

Points have one advantage, especially when trying to restart an old car: you can statically time the distributor before starting the car. Once you've gotten it running you can switch to electronic.
