Starter hook up question

Ok someone help me out...

There is a post with the red cable

Another post with the braided cable that's hooked to the starter

and a spade...

Now I figure that the reason I can't get this car started after I put the engine back in is because there's something missing on that spade, I was looking in another post about the spade and that it hooks to the ignition switch.

So my question is... where is that wire that comes down to hook in that thing at? Anyone know the color of it? I just reinstalled my engine and I can't find a wire that hangs down there. I don't know where it is!

You are correct that the spade is the actual start wire. I *think* the wire is black with a white stripe. I haven't had it to where I could actually see it well enough to know for sure. The wire had came loose on my starter, making it have a no-start condition part-time, and the starter chattered part-time.
The wire should have a large white plastic single spade terminal on it, and be a fairly large (10 or 12Ga) wire.

i had thought about using a fuel only, i think it was an F3. this guy i know has one that's been updated and hasn't been used since. he has the software on floopy, communication wires and a couple plugs but i'd have to make my own wiring for it. any idea what i might offer him for it?
