Stalls after driving down a hill.

Okay so here is the thing, I live on a mountain and there are 2 ways to get down, a short way and a long way. I like to take the shorter way but the shorter way has a pretty decent steep hill. This has happened 2 times allready going down the hill. When I get down to the end of the hill where the flat part is before the stop sign, the car stalls. I have the clutch in and everything. Does the car not like big hills or something? I now take the longer way and I don't stall going that way.

Check the fuel levels in the float bowls via the windows on the front and back of the carb. The level should be at the halfway point...
