Stalling issues (dash pot)
Since the weather is starting to be a little warmer, my car gets back to its normal operating temperature a lot quicker these day, however this is causing me some problems. The computer sets the idle speed higher before the car warms up, now that it allows for a 800rpm idle speed almost immediately after the car is started it stalls out when i let off the gas. I know i need a new dash pot to slows the return of the throttle however I cant find this part for my 84 gsl-se anywhere, ive checked rock auto, and black dragon, along with all the local part store. Any suggestions on where i might find one?

Have you tried to adjust the dashpot? It has a threaded mounting with a lock nut to keep it in the right place. I have several if you decide you need one. I have a feeling there is more to your stalling problem than the dashpot. Have you seen David Lane's excellent article on GSLSE idle problems?

the dashpot has nothing to do with it.
have you cleaned out the idle contol valve? have you adjusted the thermowax?
if you really do need a dashpot, mazda's the only place to get it, and they are kinda $$$, considering it does next to nothing
