Yep, but you still gotta put 'em in carefully, 'ol girl...
I run Axxis competition pads, made in Australia. But I also Throughly clean the calipers, then put high temp brake grease on the slide areas. I take the little "clip-thingies" to the grinder where I have a wire wheel. I grab 'em good with a small pair of vise-grips and polish/clean 'em up real good. I spray the backs of the pads with sticky anti-squeal, and make sure all the springs are put back correctly. The real secret is to clean and grease the the "glide" areas where the pads move back and forth on the calipers.....In truth it's not the pads, it's the preparation...

Try going backwards and braking hard. Sometimes cheap pads wear smooth in one direction, along with the disc and it's like fingernails on a chalkboard.
That's the last time I buy brake pads that are on the $20 special.
