Unhappy Spronggggg

I was parked on a slope, so I pulled the parking brake and Sproinggg. the cable broke. Where can I get one? or can I make it up from stainless braided cable? any advice appreciated. Bob

bob, snag up a black dragon catalogue. they have them in there for like $25 each. if you want, i can give you the number and the part numbers so you can call and order the cables.

Go to your corner mom and pop parts store. You'll get it next day. You may need a baby cotter pin and a clavis pin too to attach the main cable to the left or right brake cable.

Maybe you should consider replacing all three at the same time, in case they are rusting out.

Mine did the same thing a week or two ago, cable broke at the front near the handle, rusted out, looks easy enough to fix though, just a clevis style rear and front goes into the handbrake handle and is held by the adjusting nut.

Smile OK here goes

I am going to remove the cable and replace it with stainless from the mom and pop store fittings probably wont bew a problem. Thanks to all. Bob
