Speedometer question

I purchased a speedometer cable from a 1980 RX7 12A . Will it fit a 1985 RX7 12A.
I bought it on Ebay. Please help!!!!

It should fit without problems. How much did you pay for the cable?

I want to remove the instrument cluster in my 1979 RX7. The factory shop manual says to remove the two screws at the top of the molding that frames the cluster. I have done that but the molding seems to be held in by something along the bottom. What is the trick to removing the molding?
