spec7 / IT7 guys what do you do for....

steering, im making my 7 a weekend warrior for track days as i already have a diff racecar and cant afford 2 . and i find the truck steering a bit lackluster... any tips??

There has been a post about this recently, appears an easy fix to reset the steering box, loosen the big nut, tighten the smaller nut then retighten the big nut, several people have talked about using gauges etc, but it seems that if you use your head and don't turn it too far your box will be much tighter with less wander.

I dont believe any classes will let you change your steering box for the 2nd Gen rack, which is expensive and has dubious build quality and benefit.

I freaking love that penguin man...

If you want to go the hassle to take it out, I fill 'em with synthetic lube then have my old man turn the screws. I dont know what he does, but I only have one completely junk box around, and it had a half-turn of slop in it...

I know the synthetic works wonders on the box.
