sorry for repost but i cant find a straight answer!! need help asap!

i've been searching for an answer .... its a wheel offset question again... heres the thing someone 5 hours from me is selling me some konig rewinds brand new with brand new 185/60/14 falken tires for $400.. the rims are 14x7 0 offset...my questions are.. would i be wasting time and money if i buy them? would they fit with the zero offset? what is needed to make them work? is it worth going through the hassel?would they rub on anything? would they stick out? and is anyone using a zero offset wheel on their first gen?? im might pick them up friday... please someone help me before i make a mistake... THANX IN ADVANCE... I GREATLY APPRECIATE IT..

i believe that a 15x7 0 offset w/ 195/50R15's fit w/ out rubbing, so ide assume that the 14x7 should fit, especially w/ 185's streched out on a 7 inch wheel, as the sidewall will be rounded in towards the center of the wheel(very Æ86ish)

They will be very close on the front. I have 15x7 wheels with +15mm offset. 205/50-15's clear well, but they are very close, as my car sits much lower than most.
This is on a 12a car. If you have an SE, zero offset will stick out quite a bit, as stock offset is closer to +30.

Are we talking 4x110 or 4x114
84 I believe is 4x110 since mine is an 84 GSL and thats what I'm Running with Kosei's Rims and Tire size is 205-50-15
No clearence issues hear and they look great.
What year is your car? or did I miss that part.
There will be a difference on offsets according to if your looking @ 4x110 or 4x114 Rotors.

If the 4x114.3 wheels fit on it, it has been swapped to SE suspension, most likely. The SE needs ~ +35- +40 offset in a 7" wide wheel, IIRC.
There is always the possibility that the original hubs have been re-drilled, though.
84 GSL 12a should have 4x110, which is much harder to find wheels to fit, since it last saw the light of day in 85.

All rX-7 wheels that look like that are 4x110 bolt pattern, NO exceptions. If you do somehow have 4x114.3, those wheels won't fit your car. They would stick out way past the fender, even on a 4x110 car they would probably rub the fender.

Pics would be great. FYI, the only 1st gen rims that were 4x114.3 were the SE rims. They are very distinct as no other RX-7 wheel looked like the SE style wheels.

Those are 110 mm. Look at your tape measurer. It's easier and more precise to measure from the front of one hole to the front of the other.

Yup, definately 4x110. Hope you didn't buy the konig Rewinds yet, cause if they were 4x114.3 then they won't fit.

Save your money until you can at least go to 15" wheels.

I figured a +13mm offset 7" wide wheel for the stock suspension on the 1st gen 4x110 pattern would prove to be the best.

you can pull off a 0 offset if you ike your rims to rub... i run 15x7 +7 and they rub a little with 205 in fornt and 25 in rear dropped on eibach's prokit.

You can always roll your fenders a little to compensate for some rub.
