so what do i do?
the other night someone lossened my lug nut bolts and i started to drive away and my wheel feel off and screwed up the threads on the axle, so my friend tryed to re thread the threads and it worked for about 5 mins then i started to lose lug nut bolts and the threads are tripped again. every parts store and mechanic in town said that they don't make axles for my car and that i would have to replace the whole rearend. So what do you guys say? i got to have my baby running again so i can take her to the meet in whicita on the 13th of oct. thanks

Pull the axles, then install studs and regular lug nuts.
Either drill out the holes and press/hammer in the studs yourself,or have a machine shop do it.....either way,its a minor proceedure that shouldnt cost much.

On my SA when one of the rear axle threads was stripped I installed some studs and switched to lug nuts.
I was able to do this without removing the axles as well. Just need to get a drill bit large enough to clear out the threads on the axles and found some wheel studs the right size that were short enough to put in through the holes then bolted them down with a spare tire to "press" them into place.
Been a year and no problems whatsoever.
Heres the reply I made awhile ago that details what part#s I used
