So I finnaly installed my Yaw carb and...
..got everything all hooked up and torqued. Double checked all the connections.
Turn the key to get the fuel pump to fill the float bowls and I hear this gurgling sound.., I get out the seat and look at the top of the carb and it's filled with fuel from the bottom at the butterfly's to the top of the air cleaner lip gurgling away.
I freak and turn the key off. It's funny to watch 2 pints of fuel go down your primary and secondaries at the same time. This was at 2am. I called it a night.
This morning I clamped off the fuel supply, pull the leading spark plugs and turn the key to flush out the fuel...it sprayed all over the side of my car and on the windshield! Alot of fuel.
Did another turn for about 10 sec, put the plugs back, unclamped the fuel supply and gave her a crank, started right up.
The Yaw carb by itself with no added FPR or Carter Pump, just the stock fuel system was a increase of about 15hp by the seat of the pants. The A/F gauge was reading a tad rich.
Once I install the AEM UEGO Wideband, the Holley FPR and Carter fuel pump and some tuning I hope to get a total of 30hp increase.....hope. The secondaries on this carb rock! You feel it pull when they kick in.
Anybody else have a YawPower Nikki carb on a stock port 12a? How was your experience?

What exactly does Yaw do with them? Didn't he stop doing carbs to focus on EFI stuff? And another question. Would it be comparable to a Sterling? We want videos damnit.

Yes they are comparable to the Sterling Carbs, I got this carb and a port matched intake manifold with extra jets from a local Pro7 Racer.($225)
These are not available anymore. The info on http://www.yawpower.com/racecarb.html is a wealth of information on the Nikki, port timing and other cool info. A must for anyone who is into carbed rotaries.
