So, can I cut into this part?
I bought two PVC 4" caps for 4" PVC pipe.
I was thinking of cutting a circular hole into this section, then JB weld and fiberglassing it sealed, to give space for the magnet on the back of a speaker so I can mount speakers in the footwells much easier than stock, with better staging.
So, my question is, how vital is this section? Can I cut into it without screwing with structural integrity?

No, it's the piece just in front of the door, underneath the fender.
I was going to buy a 4" diameter hole saw like this:

I figure I only really need to make some space about 2" deep, there's more than enough room behind the fender for that.

If you had said you were gonna cut it out and weld in the extended piece I'd say go for it. I don't trust fiberglass over the long run....
You've got plenty of room for sure, but personally I'd want to weld it.
