Sneak Peek, 4x110 BB Kit (79-83 Small Spindles Only)

1 Attachment(s)
We have finalized the 4x110MM and 4x4.5" Big Brake Kits. We will call it the MarkII kit.

We have found a direct source for the 4 piston calipers and rebuild kits. Once we have numbers for those items we will add these to the catalog.

Here are the Highlights:
  • Dual pattern, 4x110MM and 4x4.5" bolt patterns.
  • Custom aluminum hubs that utilize stock bearings
  • Does not change the wheel offset
  • Brembo Rotors. Production based, means you can purchase replacements anywhere.
  • 10.7" + Diameter vented rotors.
  • Fits 1979-1983 Struts.

Kit will include:
  • Hubs, wheel bearings and seals.
  • Brembo brand rotors, with mounting hardware.
  • Wheel Studs.
  • Caliper mounting plates and hardware, MarkII version.
  • Optional items will be: Rebuilt 4 piston calipers and Stainless braided lines.

YES +1^ on that question and what calipers will be used TII??? Or are you referring to some other calipers?

Re-Speed.com 08-02-07 11:56 AM

The calipers are the 4 piston second gen calipers. Wheels are 15" min. just like the Mark I kit.

I didn't realize brembo would have larger rotors with such an odd lug pattern.... Good stuff, this might be on my to do list for my daily driver...

They do not. We researched a long while to decide on the chosen rotor. The special hub makes it all happen.

We could have easily went to willwood or coleman and found rotors and even had some special made. We decided a customer would rather be able to get a replacement from a local shop than to be forced to purchase a specialty item.

Ah ok I see it now, should have looked at the picture a bit closer, its a hub over rotor design thats how you did it. Good looking setup!
Also, you say it keeps the stock offset, is that the 12a car's offset? because the SE's have a different offset don't they?

No since The 84-85 spindles have larger bearings. We already have a kit for 84-85 spindles. It does involve 5 lug swap though.

Oh....bummer. I was under the impression they would fit the my 85 12A and retain the 4x110 pattern......

Is there any way this could work? Would I have to go to the older spindles?

That is an option. The 84-85 struts would be a special hub for only those years. We would need a good bit of demand to make them. These hubs will work for the rx2 and rx3 guys as well (With a slight diameter change). So we went with the hub that has the largest possibilities.

82transam 08-02-07 08:07 PM

Yea same here, they are easy enough to find...

XLR8 08-02-07 08:33 PM

Yeah, that's probably what I will do....
