Unhappy smoke coming up from passenger side

help. there's alot of smoke coming up from the passengers side of me gsl-se. i fixed the oil cooler problem so i know it's not oil from there falling on the exhaust..the bottom of the catalytic is drenched in what looks like oil but i don't know..also there's fluids on the bottom of the oil pan that may be spreading to the exhaust when i drive ..could it be transmission fluid?

damn.

The Cat is pluged I think. Or maybe ur oil pan is leaking ?
If its coming from the passenger side I would say its the cat.

did you clean the undercarrige of the car after you fixed the oil leak?
you better be carefull, your car could catch fire, oil does burn!

@#$% if that happens i'll kill someone........."myself"!! doh! it's gotta be something that's leaking because if it was residue from the oil cooler leak, it should have finished long ago... that was nearly 3000 miles ago. and i don't know how taking out the cat would fix a possible leak..please explain and thank you.

removing the can wont fix the leak, but will drop exhaust temps alot, thus reducing the burning oil smoke

I found a good smoke maker for the passenger side to be a leaking oil metering pump. Sitting forward of the exhaust manifold and when the droplets of oil fall from the pump, the cooling fan will blow it right on the manifold. I wish I could say that is the problem on my SE but I think the real seal is leaking and when the oil makes it to the bottom of the engin, it gets blown rearward hitting the cat and down pipe. In this case, I get smoke rolling out from either side of the car.
