sluthing to find out why shes bogging
today i gave her a once over and i couldn't find any vacuum leaks, i used some soapy water in a spray bottle... next then i'm going to look at is spark. but something tells me i might have a funky apex seal.
she is _extramely_ hard to start cold and i usually have to give her gas to about 3k rpms to keep her on till she warms up. its not a carb adjustment cause when she is warm the idle falls to exactly where she should be. i did manage to make her sound a bit better at idle and not shake so much by making the mixture a little leaner
but when i drive her she bogs from idle to about 1500-2500rpms if i'm cruising in gear she also bucks.
i'm getting plenty of fuel and i really don't feel a power loss when i have the secondaries open she seems to drive perfectly in fact.
i've been searching the archives for these problems the issue is not alot of people have my setup. but taking what i can from the archives it seems to be a rotor that isn't firing properly or a spark issue.
i don't have any smog gear on the car and it was running fine until i took her out the other day (although i did punch her pretty hard and she bogged on that trip)
the compression test i've read is to remove plugs one at a time and listen for the compression of air when the engine turns correct?

Yay!
so i check it again and find a big rubber cap stuck in the intake manifold between the engine then find the big old hole it came from and she drives like a dream.
and my carb adjustments have made her a little smoother! YAHOOO!

Cool.. but I didn't mention anything about smog. Just I always want to blame that AAV valve for everything on 12A. But it can effect power and stuttering I think..
