slop in steering
Any way to adjust the slop in the power steering in an 85 SE. I checked the shop manual, but it is unspecific about fixing the slop in power steering. Anyone have any tips, or done this before, will they be able to do this when I bring the car in for new tires and alignment?

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
There's an adjuster screw. The shop manual should bring it up, but IIRC the adjuster screw needs to be "loosened" (i.e. bring the screw out of the box) to "tighten" the steering. Maybe somebody that remembers correctly can chime in, but I think that's one of the many tricks to the Wonder Steering. It's been a while for me...
Hopefully you can get the slop out with the adjuster. If you can't, taking the PS box out is a huge PITA. You need to remove the radiator, A/C, basically everything on the driver's side of the engine.
