Hey JK,
When my slave cylinder went I would push in the clutch pedal and it would work. But, if I held the clutch in at a light the clutch would begin to engage. So, for like $18 I picked up the rebuild kit for both the master and slave and put in new seals. All is right with the world now. Well, at least at stoplights.

Good luck.

Correct, the slave is bad when you put down the clutch pedal and it slowly engages when you still have the pedal down. It always good practice to replace your slave and master cylinders at the same time. It's easy to do and can be done in a short afternoon. It's best to have a friend to help you when you bleed the system. Also get fresh brake fluid to replace to old fluid in the system.
