I think I found the problem I'm only getting 10.80 volts to my tailights harness. Shouldn't I be getting 12V? Just wondering..

what gauge wire is it your running and how old is it 14 -16 gauge should work well and make sure there are no brittle or corroded parts of the wire the lower and crappier the wire is the less cunductive it is causing it to give insufficent power to the lights just my 2 cents may ways to check it out

I just check voltage at the front of the harness under the dash that goes to the rear of the car and got the same voltage. This should tell me the wires are good. Can someone tell me what voltage you are getting to your parking lights? I am wondering..

Just got back from autozone. They told me the alternator is putting out 12V. Should I get a autozone rebuild or get mine rebuilt? I have a second gen alt installed...

Got the taillights fixed. It was my alternator not putting enought volts out. Got it rebuilt today for 75 .00. took the led light I put in the tails and installed regular 1157 bulbs and they are bright.. Now I can work on a paint job for 7 stock.. Thanks for all the help...
