simple question, simple answer needed
i read conflicting statements about dizzy vacuum advance lines, some say just cap em off u dont need em, others say leave them alone,,,,whats right....another question, can i just remove the belt from the air pump, to relieve the engine alittle, dont have cat and no header yet,,,thanks,,,,,

If you have no cats, then removing the air pump with the stock manifold will be fine.

they are still operational as mechanical advance mechanisms if you leave them alone , if you cap them they will no longer advance if they need to .
on the smog pump I would leave it alone until you get the header and block off plates

Just for the sake of completeness, let me add that if a car has a thermal reactor DO NOT disable the air pump. It provides cooling air to the internal element and if this cooling air is cut off, the element will get overheated. Then, when the engine is turned off, heat transfers back into the motor and can weaken the apex seal springs if the rotor is "parked" in the right position. -WG
