Shutter Valve Removal

Is it ok to remove that shutter valve? I have already removed the vacuum lines to it with the rats nest so it dopesn't function anyways. So, it seems as long as I seal the openings for it well, it can only help airflow.

Yes, you can. Run a search and you will find info.

What I did on my old Nikki is remove the valve itself, but left the shaft in place. Otherwise, you can either wire it open, or remove it completely and seal the holes.

Done! I removed mine and JB Welded a couple of bolts into the holes. Doesn't seem to make any difference at all.
