Wheee, another show your rims thread! I just love showing off my car! Still dirty with 16`s. TSW Apex to be exact. I`m getting tired of them, i wonder if i can get a hold of some Watanabe RS8? (Saw them in the last thread about the same topic and fell in love) Of course i would have to remove the skirts, front and rear spoiler, but damn. Original SA`s looks soooo nice!

by the way, what's the offset on your wheels, and what size tires?

im hoping to fit 215/45/16, but i have to use adaptors that will be 1" all around. i think i may have to go with 205/40 instead, but the wheels i found already have tires i'd rather use up first.

Thanks!

The tires are 205/45. Offset is 15. No scrubbing at all, car isnt lowered. The Watanabes are just a dream, not exactly easy to get a hold of in Europe..

heres an old pic WHEN i had 18s and 19s. Believe it or not but the rears were 19x7s
I borrowed them from a friend of mine for a few months just see how they would look and ride. Ive never heard of the brand before but they were called Bryals. I didnt really like it. Id rather have 15s

well, assuming my wheels are 40mm offset, and i will be running 1" adaptors, i could imagine the offset to be just about that, exactly 15mm of offset

if this is true, and your fitment works well without any rubbing, then i will be very happy...once difference being the tires are 215, not 205, but i can't see that making much of a difference. at least not the kind of difference that rolling the lips wouldn't fix.

now that that's settled, i can stop worrying. btw, sure looks like your car is lowered, but i guess its just the wheels filling the gap making it appear that way, then again, maybe your springs are sagging. you sure you're stock height?

Well, the car is stiff (handles really well) and i dont think neither the dampers or the springs are sagging. It could be that you are tricked by the skirts and front beeing rather low to the ground. Anyways, im planning on a GLS-SE suspension swap. I do want that more common pattern, rear disc brakes and LSD.. I also have 4 complete sets of wheels in the 4*114,3 pattern. Another great advantage with the GLS-SE suspension, is that the offset is better, and you can fit a wider rim, without screwing up the camber angle.

As to wether 215`s will scrub, i think they will do just fine. I tried 225 on mine and it was fine. (but only marginally). If you are planning on rolling the fenders anyways, i dont see the problem.

BTW, watch out for a project thread on my car. I have just gotten a hold of a digital camera and the car is currently stripped for restoration inside and outside! (well outside, almost done inside) When done, it will look mucho better with new paint, redone interior, cleaned up engine bay and maybe some different wheels!
