I didn't know if this should go here, or in the classified parts under WTB.....

Hi, I recently found an '82 GSL in non-running order for $200.
I was thinking that, if the cat was clean, I could buy it and park alongside my house while I part it out and sell the remaining pieces.

I would need the catalytic converters and maybe the transmission, along with a few of the interior trim pieces.

My questions are:
Should I do this?
And would anyone buy the remaining pieces

 

The catalytic converter may be bad on that car. The only way you would find out is after you put it on a running engine.
As far as $200.00 for a GSL, go for it.
You need a trans and the rest of the parts like the LSD and what not would sell.
As far as a parts thread in MY section. Don't do it newbie!
You can place an ad by following the rules in the classifed section but I do not want parts threads to be in this section or to be responded to in this section.

I wasn't intending this thread to be used as a FS thread.....just wondering if it would be worthwhile to part it out or if I should just re-sell the hull. Or if I COULD sell the parts.

Thanks for your advice though, I'll have to get rid of a few other projects to make room.
