Should have known better
Well I need a shift **** to replace the ball one that came with my hurst shifter. I went down to the local Pep Boys (I know, I know) and thout I'd give one of their "3A?" ***** a go. It felt good in my hand so I bought it, even after I looked at how it was to be installed (three all screws over a sleve, not at all threaded). So I "installed" it and sat and went threw the gears, it felt lose, I tightened, shifted some more and the damn **** came OFF of the metal peice that the screws go threw to hold the **** to the shaft. Took that **** right back, the lady asked if I wanted another one, I just gave her the WTF for look, so I got my money back.
So where do you get a good shift ****??

i dont know personally, i've been lookin for a new **** also but im kinda picky when it comes to that, ever since i saw the rx8 shift ****'s i've wanted one of those i saw a 5spd one somewhere but it was like 100buck's and that kinda discouraged me so im lookin elsewhere but, i'd probably try a speed shop or one of those ricer shops u can probably find a pretty good one there.....sorry for the double post
The RX-8 **** is great, and threads in. I still have to install mine.
However, I currently have a Momo ****, and it works with a little plastic cap,
and three little sharp pointed allen wrench screws.
Mine used to slip off, until I decided to take a fine drill, and make holes where the
three screws push up against.
Made all the difference. It's on tighter than John Holmes on prom night.
It isn't going anywhere.
Good luck.

I went with an apexi black leather & chrome ****, came with the sleeve and allan screws but it's on great. It fits a little lower so the throw is shrtened a bit, very nice. To compliment it I intalled the apexi leather boot as well. drilled several tiny holes in the plate and stiched it down, looks awesome. Then, I painted the shift surround and console plate. Turned out great.
