my shifter rattles allot, any reccomendations? oh yea, if anyone wants a cat replacement pipe for a 84-85 im selling on for $70

 

ya mine too, its fuktup. I hope someone has a remedy for this, cause its annoyin' to say the least. I have a 84gsl-se, and its really bad between 3500 -6000?

 

Is it your shifter that's rattling, or the trim around the shifter?

 

i dunno, i'd check but its freakin cold outside, and havent gotten used to the weather yet. Hope it snows more so I can get the snowmobiles out and tear it up.... well, i'll go check...

 

well if it is the shifter not something else probialy your shifter bushings. most trans i have seen usally have 1 of them of there all fubared up. good way to tell is to put it into gear and wiggle it side to side and pull up and down on it. theres about 4-6 shimes and crap that you can get from any mazda dealer for about 70$ for all of them hope that helps

 

brrerrr err ya, problem fixed, it was junk like coins, etc laying around and also the aftermarket shifter - less rattle, more smile....
