Shifter **** Removal.

I need to remove the shifter **** so I can replace the boot. I can't figure out how to get it off. I am guessing you just turn it. Is there any trick to it. I feel like I am going to break the shifter.

Have you ever seen one of those rubber-band things that has a plastic handle that they show on TV? They sell them to help old people with arthritis get lids off of jars. Buy one, they help with little things like taking off shifter *****, but yes, just turn it counterclockwise to remove (if it's stock).

Yeah I was just being a chicken. It came off really easy when I stopped worrying about breaking it.

just twist hard...keep playing with it...if , somehow, you can get some pb blaster up there, it would loosen it up...it does come off though but mine too was a pain...
