Shift *** won’t budge!!

My shift non won’t come out. I tried using 2 vice grips, and wd40 and still nothing

Vice grips? I don't quite remember but I think there's a pretty lock nut under the ****. You need to back that off first.

Yes, thread check nut clockwise to lessen the tension on the shift ****. The **** will then thread right off.
