shaking?

when i start up my car in the morning and i pull out the choke, i let it warm up for a few minutes, but then the car starts to shake quite roughly while its still warming up, and its like chug chug chug chug and today when it was doing that it actually died, and my battery was dead.
but i dont understand why it idles so rough with the choke on, after it should be somewhat warm
and ideas?

Try pulling to 1/2 choke instead of full-on. You're drowning your engine in fuel.
