Series 1 GSL rear end swap...Need Help

So I have searched google/this forum for many days since I decided to pull the trigger on this swap but I am still looking for some specifics if anyone has them.

Obviously pitches on the rear ends are different but the rear end I purchased is also missing the brake line 2-1 splitter. I've read and been told multiple times that splitters and/or adapters can be purchased to make this an easy plug and play. So either....

1. Does anyone know the pitches of the 79 brake lines and the 84 brake lines?
2. Does anyone know where to buy adapters/do you have a link with pitches already included?
3. Does anyone have a stock splitter off of an 84 rear end they can part with? With this I can cut and flare it myself (I think?) with the 79 fitting.

Also I am told the pinion flange can be swapped so that I don't have to purchase another shaft. I just replaced the ujoints in my current shaft which is one of a few reasons I would like to keep it.

1. What is the best/easiest way to swap that flange out? Obviously it free spins with what I am sure is a reverse threaded nut on the end.
2. Does anyone have an 84-85 drive shaft they want to part with?

1. Does anyone have the 84 ebrake cables they want to part with?

Sorry for the WTB questions but I figured I may as well include these in this thread in case someone reading it had these parts lying around.

Thanks for you help!

Matt

79-80 uses 1.25mm pitch (coarse) and 81-85 uses 1.00mm pitch (fine) for all hydraulics. You should be able to find a generic splitter at a junkyard or parts store. Just make sure it's the right pitch. You can just cut the hard line on the chassis and flare a fine fitting on. That's what I did until I swapped all my hardlines over.

Im not sure if you can physically swap flanges or not. Someone else will have to chime in on that. I'm pretty sure it is not reverse threaded. As far as the flange is concerned, not the best idea to remove it though. The preload on the pinion bearing is set without the ring gear installed. So, unless you're going to rebuild the rear end you can't ensure the preload will be correct. Some have marked the position of the nut and tightened it to the same spot. The other flange may be different in thickness this causing the torque to be off.

Good luck with your swap. LSD is great! Wait, you know what I mean.

Thanks for all the advice Joe! May I ask why you swapped all the hardlines over if you had already flared a new fitting on?

I'm still in need of some sort of splitter for the line as right now there are 2 coming off the GSL rear end and I only have the ability to connect one.

It looks like I may be looking into getting a new driveshaft then. Thanks for the help there as well!

Main reason was I wasn't too happy with my flares. It was tough getting decent flares while under the car. New fittings was a stop gap measure until I swapped the entire brake system to FB bits (mostly to get a GSL proportioning valve). Second reason was cutting the rear line to re-flare made it too short to use the mounting point where it mates to the hose so it was zip tied.
