SE upper link HELP

SE upper link HELP

my 84 se has no upper links. when i bought it it had been repaired but i didnt notice. the whole rear bin/wheelwell was rusted out i had it fixed. the upper link was bolted to a bracket made to fit on the "frame rail". of course it broke off now im stuck driving a car that bottoms out an makes all sorts of noises in the rear, especially in reverse. somone please what are my options...third link...panhard..i dont no whats what help

I take it you can not get the chassis 100% repaired to support the stock upper links? Or maybe you had it fixed and it broke again? Can't really tell from your post.

Trilink and a panhard would solve the problem if you can't fix the upper mounts.

That would be a good reason for the upgrade.

Check out ISC Racing, and cheap is not a word you are going to find for this type of repair/upgrade. Billy's dead on with the tri-link/panhard setup. A body shop will charge a small fortune to make the repairs needed to reuse the 4-link set up.

Looks like ISC racing is getting out of the first gen game.

I looked at the site a while back thinking about the panhard and trilink...but they are NLA...

Its too bad, they had some nice stuff.

You can find a tri link and panhard at gforce engineering . net I use this setup on my gsl-se racecar with billy's (respeed) spherical bearings in the lower links. Its a better design than the ISC racing setup but its also more expensive. You dont need the upper links at all with this setup.
