SE tire recommendation: Kumho Touring plus 732.

I got 4 new 205/60R14 tires for my 85SE from www.tires-easy.com for $150 plus $50 shipping (4 days to deliver), Kumho Touring Plus 732, and today I finally got a chance to try them in the mountains hereabouts and they really handle well. I chose them because the reviews said they were good on wet paving, and because I got a good price.

I think I was lucky because there are not many tires available in this peculiar size.

They are much better than the Dunlop SP2s they replaced, and the Firestone Firehawks (terrible!) that I tried. Better than the last set of Bridgestones, too.

They really work well. Don't break loose easily, not squishy, not rough riding.

Highly recommended.
