ok, i checked mazdatrix before, but accidentally overlooked what i was trying to find. I'm going to be building a turbo 12A with 300+ hp -- mazdatrix has regular rebuild parts, and hi performance parts. they also have a complete RACE LSD unit. they say their race unit is unsuitable for street driving, and my car is going to be street driven all the time. does anyone know if the mazdatrix hp lsd rebuild parts are better than stock without being unstreetable as the race unit?

Hey i was just gonna start a thread. How do you know if its going bad?

I've seen lift one side up and torque it @ 90lbs. and if it slips its bad.

Which side do you lift and torque?

Then I saw in the Drift Bible Video thats located in the Lounge Section or West not sure.

That when you do right turn donuts and go in circles then its bad. So that would suggest that the lead side is the right and the left is the LSD side?

Then theres the company that usally at drift events KAZA or something like that but last time I checked the kits were HELLA expensive like $6-8 bills, but didnt see and application for the first gens think it said to call.

i dont think it matters which side you lift, but im not positive so i would get a second opinion from someone who knows for sure.

If you rebuild it yourself, the parts from mazdatrix would be around $350. They dont sell complete factory units for the SE anymore. They have a race one that they dont recommend for the street, which is $600. They also have a Torsen unit for $800.

Dig the Miata units... Take the pumpkin and you get 4.3 rear end gears too... Slight modification is requiredin that you must cut a bracket or something, but other than that, it bolts up.

Supposedly.
