AR SE fuel injector swap?

Does anyone know if any other injectors will swap into the SE's? Like on my Jeep XJ I have swapped in 19# yellow top mustang injectors and can also use Dodge Neon injectors.

Just wanting to see what my options are, I thought I had a leaking o-ring but turns out the injector body is leaking. I have a parts car, but wanted to see if I could come up with a new or reman set for less than the factory injector price of around $285 a pop.

Unfortunately, the -SE's use a very-specific to -SE 680cc injector, which actually flows a LOT more than a typical fuel injector in use for anything else. In fact, at that flow rate, when Mazda went with more power through lighter rotors and changed compression ratio's for 86+ engines, they went with a 4 staged injectors (of lower volume flow) instead of the 2 as in the -SE's.

For that reason, there's not a direct swap for -SE injectors that I've ever found. A leaky body may be repairable by a competent shop, however - and I know the local Mazda stealership wanted about $600 each for the injectors last time I asked. For that price, that's a lot of rebuilding and flow-balancing over time (~$1200 for a pair).

Good luck, and please post back with what you find; my last attempt to find two that matched for flow rate required sending in 5 injectors and got 2 back, which have lasted me several years now.

i would agree with the above post. send a s[are set out if you have them to a company such as WitchHunter Performance - Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing Services and have the injectors flow tested and cleaned. if the body of the injector is leaking, i would not try and salvage it for fear of future leaks after the repair that could potentially cause an engine fire.
