-SE and the A/C wiring

On my -SE the A/C comes on when it wants, i turn on the A/C and the compresser clutch doesnt engage, it does sometimes. I've looked in the books but no A/C wiring. I'm thinking it's electrical, maybe under the dash somewhere. Has anyone had to mess with the A/C wiring on an -SE ??

there are 3 places to check in the engine bay. the first is easy. it's a black wire that goes to the compressor. i believe its a ground wire. it'll be screwed in to the compressor somewhere and then goes to the magnetic clutch. the next place is obvious. follow the wire, it should run along the uncompressed line and run into a connector. the 3rd place is on the passenger side of the vehicle. look back towards the fire wall. the compressed line will have a sensor/valve thing that has a spot for a connector, the connector looks like the power steering one. make sure thats on. if all that checks out then check behind the enviorment controls.

On the drivers side, look for the black wire coming from the compressor, that connects to a green/black wire. When the AC is on, there should be 12V there.

Yeah, the black wire with the connector to the compresser has 13.8 volts. so it has power.. must be a shot out clutch/compresser. magnets is how that works ?? Huh,.,. wonder if a magnet could help re-polarize the internal magnet(s) ???
