Savanna fender mirrors

I got a set of fender mirrors off of yahoojp recently. I was wondering, have any of you guys custom mounted these onto an FB fender? I saw some posts on mounting normal FB mirrors, but not this particular type. The neck seems to be a bit longer than the later sa22/FB models.

Okay.
http://home.mindspring.com/~wilkinsj...ror%20pics.JPG

Once the hole is made on the fender it should be an easy install. It seems they have those spring loaded attachment things. One broke off its perch, but it should go back on easy, I think.
I see cars that have these fender type mirrors around here in Japan. Most taxis use them here, and many cars have an additional fender mirror, so they must be some kind of improvement... I wonder, but I dunno, though.

Dunno, might sell these instead. I am lazy about installing stuff like this.
The stockers aren't worth a whole lot, tho. If I do install the savanna mirrors, I'll prolly throw them in my spare parts pile, which is conveniently located next to jorx81's parts pile. hahaha

I asked because down here in Argentina, there is no place to get spare parts for the 7, and Im trying to buy one, but comes with the square type of mirrors.... I really dont like them ... at all.

Picture it this way. I make about 500 U$S a month. The car costs 2000 U$S

Married...

Non rusted fenders are a bit hard to come by here. Also expensive to ship.

I don't think these are the same type of mirror as the door mirrors. The mirror's image is different. Concave might be the right word? Anyways, it seems these were designed to go on the fender, so they would be easier to see out of than just mounting regular door mirrors on the fender.

You can flare out your door mirrors and eliminate a big portion of your blind spot. You just don't get the redundancy of seeing the car behind you in your door mirrors.
