they should be able to order you one. Its just a 12v inline fuel pump that pumps something like 4-7 psi if my memory serves correctly. I got mine from oreillys auto parts.... It required me to splice the plug from mine onto it.... but honestly a simple install. It was aftermarket but in range. Maybe order one from online... well actually i just looked and autozone doesnt seem to carry it anymore... here is what oreillys has... i think its what i have as well http://oreillyauto.com/EW3/ProductDe...¤tPage=0
its 70 dollars....

I agree, that is a lot to spend on it if you're not sure. I got the one I have on my car from Knects (not sure if I spelled that right) and it only cost me $30. It wasn't quite the same shape as the stock one (the hose connections go straight out from each end instead of having a 90 degree bend like the stock one does), but it works just fine. If it's not raining tomorrow I'll take a pic of the one I have on my car now, but I don't have the stock one anymore. I tossed it after I got my car running again. If you're pretty sure that's the problem then I would recommend shopping around for prices at the parts stores near you and see what you can find for the best price. One thing to keep in mind when you shop around is what type of pump it is. Many of the less expensive fuel pumps are the square box type pumps and from what I understand they don't last as long as the cylindar type. It's really easy to tell the difference just by looking at them. The box type will be square and the cylindar types are just that, they will be round.

When you say you cleaned the carb. what did you do?
I bought my car after it had been sitting for 11 years and the pump is fine.
Check the filters at the top of the float needle for gunk. I missed them the first time I rebuilt my carb, oh and those ball check valves.

well now im sure that the fuel pump is bad because it no longer turns on and i know this because 1: you cant here it and 2:the car will only start if i pour gas down the carb so idk i cant really find a cheap one since i only have like $30 to spend (because i need a seat and a drivers side brake caliper) and nobody seems to have a used pump for a reasonable price
