SA to FB strut conversion?
I was given a new set of tokico HZ1069 struts and can possibly get my hands on some FB struts with adjustable rebound as a gift, but I have an SA.
Here's a link to the FB struts, but the picture is incorrect.
http://www.coximport.com/store/HZ1069
The link to the SA struts is not working, but the model shows to be the
Tokico HZ1063.
Are these really good struts?
The local autoparts stores are saying the struts are the same for SA and FB year models. Doing a comparison, I see the length and style of thread is different between the SA and FB struts.
I'm wanting to use the car for learning to autocross.
Is it worth making the conversion, or should just get struts for the SA?
If I make the conversion, should I convert the brake assembly/calipers/rotor as well? Or are the rotors the same? Is the spindle the same?
My current brake calipers are old, but work fine.
Or should I just do the strut cartridge and camber/caster plate?
Thanks in advance for the knowledge on the matter.

if you have the cantilever style calipers, you should do the swap for sure. Put in the blues, and get those camber/caster plates while you're at it (you might need the adapters if you have the street version struts and you buy the race version plates).

For a temporary set up to use the FB struts and get my feet wet for cheap, can I just put a correct width spacer in the bottom of the strut tube, and run the stock FB camber plates? And temporarily keep everything else SA.
