sa/fb gas tank swap

I need to change the tank in my sa. Will an '85 fb 12a work? could not find in the archives.

No is correct, the SA tank is much smaller so the 85 tank will not fit.

the shape is different due to the shape of the floor pan and spare tire well. 79-80 RX-7's used a full size spare while the 81-85 used a compact spare. the pickup and return lines are integrated into the earlier tanks and seperate on the S3..just too many difference.
