sa(80's) guys, some help (seaching since October 07)

i was hoping you guys would be willing to clear so info up for me.also i was hoping not to get flamed and told to use the search button. i have for the last week and this is as far as i have gotten. i plan when i get all the fact's and perform this on my car to wright a complete wright up on this with pics and videos that will be hosted on my web site i use to host such things. i plan to make this guide step by step so it will make this much easier for people like me who are new to 79/80 12a's or rx cars.

my car is a 1980 rx7 sa. my exhaust needs to be replaced, since i live in mass i dont need to worry about emissions.
i plan on buying a header from racing beat and need some info.
i all ready removed my smog / air pump and bought the blocking plates from them. what else do i need to remove.

1st.
i know where the AC&CV Cover Plate goes and when i removed my smog pump i saw how it hooks into that area on the intake. thats why i bought the block off plates from racing beat. i haven't removed any thing else from my intake or rats nest. i wouldn't mind removing all that junk tho.
when removing the ac&cv is it just removing 3 bolt/studs/nuts and putting a block off plate on. is there any thing else.
what i got from the guide i linked below is, to install the header i just need to remove the ac&cv section of the intake. is this correct

2.
79 link sa guide i found this link on how to remove the rats nest for a sa but it doesn't answer every thing for me. i don't want to mess some thing up and be really screwed. it talks nothing about the back side of the intake(if standing in front of drives fender LHD).

3.now my questions about the rats nest, the ones iam left with from that guide.
it tells you what nipples to use to connect to the dizzy for vacuum advance but it does not tell you which one goes to which vacuum pots on the distributor. also after his first post he says
"I should also point out that I have removed my dashpot and the solenoid that raises the idle for the air conditioning. The dashpot went bye-bye 'cause it makes it MUCH easier to take the carb apart on the car for quick adjustments, and the solenoid got tossed when I took out the A/C." where is this and how do i do this my ac didnt even have a belt on it when i got the car.

please help me out, pulse if you help me out , when i make this guide every one asking this can be sent to one complet guide that they dont have to keep asking questions about.

ive been really confused about this and been searching since October 07.

Connect them to a T fitting, and run the line to the 2nd from the left nipple IIRC.

I used a generic plastic T fitting and some windshield washer hose.

EDIT: Also I would put some high temp silicone around the plates to get a good seal. I am not sure if you have to, but I would in case. It also does not have to be high temp, but I always use it.

jeezus thank you for answering and not flaming me and telling me to search. when i have this completed ill make a guide and have it link in my sig and name the post some thing like "sa rats nest removal guide" so when you tell them to search it will be easy to find . thank you again for being nice to me.

i got sealer from racing beat

"Connect them to a T fitting, and run the line to the 2nd from the left nipple IIRC" so you don't have to run two lines to the dizzy. you can just use one nipple for a vac source for the dizzy. did i under stand that correctly, if so i got half of my second question answered.

i was looking at the guide on another site alot of people post link to.don't have the link saved just the pdf . its for a 81 pulse rx7 tho. i have a little bit better under standing of how to remove the ac&cv now . when i remove it that just plug all the holes and tie rap the electrical connectors out of the way. correct me if iam wrong. if so i got my first question answered (about removing it) is this all that is need to install a header and remove the smog pump.

now all i have left is how to remove the dash pot since i dont have ac. could i just leave this in. and be safe .
if i can just leave it in and have it not effect any thing i got my rats nest question answered.
but could you or any one explain how to remove it . so when i make my guide it will have all info needed

Yes, you can T both together and run one line to the Nikki Spacer.

As far as the AC/CV or whatever it is called, you can take it off. I had a stripped nikki (read, nothing on it but throttle cable and fuel lines) and it worked great. You have to set your idle for 900 or 1000, so when you cycle on your AC/Lights/anything electrical, your engine will idle down to regular idle. If you remove everything like what I had you will not have the idle compensation.
