s5 turbo manifold?
Will an s5 turbo manifold just bolt to any 13b? I am wanting to boost a LITTLE, and was wondering if a regular s5 manifold will bolt right up. Couldn't find it in the search. Sure would be nice if they do.

it should bolt up, the only main difference is the center iorn plate is wider on the older 13b. if I remember right you have to use a grinder and make the bottom moon cut out wider.

the pedestal is the easiest way of running an oil feed line. ReSpeed has a very nice selection for doing this. What I did was use the racingbeat block and ran a -3an line back around behind the engine above the tranny. This brings in filtered oil into the turbo, I would recommend anything else.

Most of the N/A 13B engines are gonna require grinding on the center iron for clearance. The S5 manifold is a good flowing, compact unit and doesnt have the cracking issues of the S4 manifold.
Go with the pedestal. It might be more stuff to bolt on,but most also have a spot for an oil temp gauge sender, which is a good idea on any boosted engine. Just be sure you tap in AFTER the filter. There really isnt any oil passages on the right side of the engine, except for the oil metering pump.Even the stock turbo engines have to pull their oil all the way from the left side of the front iron.
Plumbing a tee at the stock oil pressure sending unit might be easier, and plenty of people have recommended doing that.....but thats unfiltered oil youll be sending the turbo.Definately not good for the bearings and definately not the way the factory did it on the TII/FD.

What do you mean grinding the center housing? It bulges out? I figured it would just be flat. How much of a pain in the *** is that? And it can be done without a rebuild right?

I didnt use the s5 manifold. As for the oil lines buy a block from Racingbeat of ReSpeed that goes under the oil filter pedestal with using a -3an stainless steel braided line. Use a -10an or -12an for the oil return lines. You can buy some good fittings and such for the oil feed and return off the turbo from www.atpturbo.com .
