s4 Motor with Nikki carb?

I am building a 85 s model with my brother in law for autocrossing and occasional street useage. We have a S4 13B block out of an 86 model in there and are trying to get this car running on the cheap. I was thinking of trying to use a nikki 4brl MODIFIED of course, and adapting it to the lower manifold on the 13b.. Has anyone done this and do you think if would flow well enough? Any ideas? thx in advance....

Hmm.... Well for the intake mani you can't use the 12A one, but you might be able to modify the intake mani from an Rx4 to take a rebuilt nikki and bolt to your S4...

I don't think it would take too much work, I just can't remember whether the modifications are needed on the carb side or the engine side... Carl might know.

If you're using the S4 as "stock", then an Rx7Carl/Sterling modded Nikki should flow well for you. You can even rig an air pump to open the 6-ports if you don't wanna wire them open. Unless of course you grabbed a 4-port TII motor.
