nothing in the archives, eh?

anyway, what exactly do you want to know about the engine swap and how much of this can you do for yourself?

Your going to need a GSL-SE oil pan and front cover.

Are you keeping it Fuel injected or going aftermarket carb ?

well, i would have to say fuel injeted for cost, since i can take anything i need from the car, but yes, i know this will be more difficult

what about 12a front cover and oil pan....i thought that works

The 13B block is longer...your 12a oil pan would be too short. The 12A front cover will bolt up, but then your OMP only has 2 lines for the 12a carb, and the S4 13B has 4 oil injectors.
I dunno, I guess just hooking up only 2 lines would work. or get rid of the OMP and run pre-mix.

okay, now we're getting somewhere ...

so you want to keep it stock EFI, eh? run searches for the user "Redwood" he did this swap and i'm pretty sure there is a lot of information that he shared. it's here. i've seen it.

as for the oil pan, yes ... you will NEED an SE oil pan. the 12A front cover will work, you'll just have to either plug the 2 oil lines to the intake manifold or get creative with splicing 4 into 2.

getting the engine in is no problem. wiring everything up will be the challenge.

okay i figured out a better way to search and im finding alot

because my car is originally a 12a, and not a gsl-se 13b, i will have to change my fuel systeme too, something i don't wanna do.

im starting to get a real headache over this....it almost seems that yeah, if i am goign to go to all the trouble of doing this swap, it might as well be a TII swap.

thanks guys, im starting to think im in over my head here
